Middle School Newsletter and Activities
Geography (6th Grade) - This week we will revisit our world maps. We will evaluate, finish and examine on Thursday. We will also spend next Friday catching up on our Landmark presentations with all students presenting. The school wide Geography Bee will be on December 14 – congrats to Sofia, Grayson and Will for being the 6
th grade finalists. Friday is a special day as we all go to Louisville to see “A Christmas Carol”.
World History (7th Grade) - This week we will continue with Ancient China and the Dynasties. Wednesday we will watch a video on the Terra Cotta Warriors with lots of information on the Qin and Shi Huangdi. We will also find some time to finish off investing in the Stock Market Game. We have a good start, but need to make up some ground on the state level, so be checking your watch lists.
US History (8th Grade) - We finish up the American Revolution this week with an exam on Tuesday. We will next look at challenges of the new nation and the formation of our government. The true government portion of this unit is perhaps the most important unit we will study as it deals with our rights and responsibilities as US citizens.
