Middle School SS Newsletter & Activities
 
Geography (6^th Grade) - We will start a unit on Southeast Asia after we test on the Pacific World.  Friday we will have a special lesson on the history and observance of Veterans Day. 
 
World History (7^th Grade) - We will continue our study of Early India this week.  We will make some Hindu Gods Baseball cards on Tuesday.  Friday we will check in on our stock market portfolios.  Next week we will have the classroom portion of the National Geography Bee. 
 
US History (8^th Grade) - We will finish our study of the American Revolution and present our tiles on Thursday and Friday.  The test will be next Monday and then we move on to our learning centers after a week or two with the Constitution.
 
Activities
 
Vintage Gaming Club – Vintage Gaming Club will meet Monday November 7 after school from 2:30 – 3:30 PM.  We will have three TVs and one or two hand held devices, so this should be the best outing we have had to date.  We will experience the Atari 2400, Intelivision and Intelivision II systems and games and possibly a Super NES system. 
 
Math Counts – Math Counts will meet Monday November 7 from 2:30 – 3:30 PM in the Spanish room.
 
KYA – KYA will meet from 2:30 – 3:30PM in the Science Lab.  This is the last meeting before forms and fees are due and we will be typing in bills and working on speeches.  Remember, fees and forms are due November 14 and we will need about 6 volunteer drivers for the trip.
 
Academic Team – The Middle School Academic Teams will meet Wednesday from 2:30 – 3:30 PM in the Spanish room.
 
Student Council – Student Council will meet Thursday after school from 2:30 – 3:30 PM in the Science Lab.
 
Aegean Service – Aegean Service Club will meet from 2:30 – 3:30 PM on Friday November 11.  The Christmas tree ornaments and recycling will be on the schedule.
