Drama Club – Drama Club will meet on Monday, October 17 from 2:30 – 3:30 PM. Members will be reviewing scripts for a Christmas Play. Students in grades 5-8 are welcome to join the club and participate in the play.
KYA – KYA will meet on Tuesday October 18 from 2:30-3:30 PM. We will finish work on our bill proposals and present to a faculty board for consideration. Students are urged to visit the KYA website and fill our scholarship forms. We have already received notice of some scholarships already, so please take advantage of this opportunity. Students wishing to be clerks or door keepers will have a training session in Louisville on October 23.
Y-Club – Y-Club will meet on Wednesday October 19 from 2:30-3:30 PM. The get out the vote initiative, memory book and winter outreach projects will be discussed. We are hoping to schedule a visit from our District Representative in the near future to help with We Day activities.
Budget Ball – The next Budget Ball Match is scheduled for Thursday October 20 from 2:30-3:30 PM in the GSS Gym. The Last two matches have been very close and have attracted several players. Students in grades 5-8 are welcome to come and check out the fun.
Aegean Service – Aegean Service will meet on Friday October 21 from 2:30-3:30 PM. We will focus on recycling and trash removal from the campus areas including the Church and parish offices.
Press Corps – Press Corps will meet from 2:30-3:30 PM on Friday October 21 and Monday October 24. Students will concentrate on finalizing a broadcast.
Investors Club – Investors Club will meet on Wednesday October 26 from 2:30-3:00. Students will evaluate portfolios and discuss investments.
In Class
Geography (6th Grade) - We will take a break and spend some time studying the History of Halloween and create class documentaries on Halloween topics. Wednesday we will take a trip to the Kentucky River and Fort Hill for some on site science and history.
World History (7th Grade) - Monday we will do some heavy investing and plotting in the SMG. Wednesday we have a class trip to the Kentucky River and Fort Hill for a little science and history. Walk for Education is Friday so a short class. Nice easy week before we have the Halloween Dance on Friday.
US History (8th Grade) - I won’t see you in class much but it should be a great week. Tuesday a trip to LexCath, Wednesday a trip to the Soup Kitchen and Friday the Walk for Education is a busy week to itself. I will try and fit some history in on Monday and Thursday and finish up English Colonies.
